Description: Typical Valencian ceramic tile. On an off-white background there is a plant motif with two fruits that resemble pomegranates, one yellow and the other purple. They are linked together with green rames. This type of tile used to be part of a decorated border. The tiles below represent a border with floral motifs. The set consists of four tiles. It was located decorating the steps of the staircase of the Casa Palau. This type of tile with pomegranates used to form a decorated border. The tile with a floral motif was located decorating the steps of the staircase.
State of preservation: Complete
Provenance of find: Silla. The tiles with the pomegranates are from the ‘Casa de la Palma’, Calle de la Libertad, 2 (2002). The tiles with floral motifs are from the renovation of the Casa Correos, the neoclassical building in the Plaça del Poble (2002).
