Tile fragment

Mould-made, 14th century

Excavation, MCM Inv.: 1971

Pieces and fragments of pottery made in workshops sited in the city of Manises. Made of red paste, they are wheel-thrown and freehand decorated with paintbrush. We basically find three kinds of decoration: copper oxide and manganese under tin glaze; cobalt oxide under tin glaze; gold lustre on tin glaze.
