Roman spa

A long time ago, the Romans
came to this area.
About 200 years before Christ born,
Romans began to use
the thermal waters of Fortuna.

Around 50 years later they built
pools in the area.
Finally, the 1st century after Christ born onwards,
the Roman spa took on the form
that you can see today thanks to
the remains that have survived.

For the Romans, mineral waters
were very important for health.
In Hispania there were 152 places
with medicinal waters.
15 of them are very important
and help us to understand
how the Romans lived.
