Convent of the Agustinians

In 1936, the old “Minimal Convent of Our Lady of Victory and Saint Francis of Paula” was completely destroyed. That same year, the Town Hall exchanged the land where the convent was located for the plot now occupied by the market. On this large plot, the current convent was built in 1946 to house the community of the Discalced Augustinians, who finally abandoned it in 2003. Inside, frescoes by the painter Juan Bta. Soler Blasco stand out; he was the town’s mayor and mentor of the municipal archaeological and ethnographic museum.
