Llanto Cristóbal Viewpoint

High in the mountains surrounding Casarabonela lies one of the municipality’s most special spots: the Llano de Cristóbal Viewpoint. This natural area, surrounded by pine forests and Mediterranean scrubland, offers unbeatable views of the village, the Guadalhorce Valley, and, on clear days, even the Málaga coastline.

Access to the viewpoint can be made on foot from the outskirts of the town center, along a short one-kilometer walk beneath the shade of trees and the quiet of the sierra. Once at the top, visitors find a small stone shelter and a rest area, perfect for enjoying the surroundings in peace.

This place stands out not only for its scenic value but also for the feelings it inspires among locals: a meeting point during traditional celebrations, a witness to the town’s old stories, and a symbol of Casarabonela’s deep connection with its natural environment.
