IGLESIA DE LA ENCARNACIÓN VIEWPOINT

The viewpoint of the Church of La Encarnación, also known as the Hanging Balcony, is one of the most picturesque corners of El Burgo. Located next to the Church of La Encarnación in La Villa, the highest point of the town, this viewpoint offers spectacular views of the natural surroundings that embrace the village, including Sierra Cabrilla and Sierra Prieta with their imposing mountain formations.

The church, built in the 16th century on the site of an old mosque, has undergone several renovations. It is in the Gothic-Mudejar style and consists of three naves separated by chamfered pillars with pointed horseshoe arches, and a wooden framework in the central nave covered by a Renaissance half-barrel vault.
