PINSAPO FOREST OF CAÑADA DEL CUERNO

Between Ronda and Parauta, within the National Park, lies the Cañada del Cuerno, which leads into a fabulous Spanish fir forest (pinsapar) where some of the most spectacular and long-lived specimens reside—some over 400 years old.

The Pinsapar of Cañada del Cuerno, together with other Spanish fir forests in the Serranía de Ronda, is listed as a singular and emblematic tree community in the official inventory of unique trees and woodlands of the Province of Málaga, compiled by the Regional Ministry of the Environment of Andalusia.

Alongside the Spanish fir, many other plant and animal species thrive here and can be observed directly from the trail.

Access is possible from the Los Quejigales recreational area, along the old Camino de los Carboneros. Walking beneath the canopy of these centuries-old trees becomes an unforgettable experience not to be missed.
