Casa Primícies

The Casa Primícies is currently owned by the Church. Originally, the façade was rendered and painted white, which highlighted the tufa stone ornaments on the wall surfaces. Rehabilitation works carried out some years ago revealed a semicircular arch at the entrance doorway. This element suggests a Gothic origin of the building, and the adaptation undertaken at the end of the 19th century was unable to eliminate its original asymmetry.

The decorative elements follow the patterns of eclecticism, although there are some peculiar features. On the ground floor, the façade shows very clearly marked courses of tufa stone ashlars. On the main floor, the windows open onto balconies that project uniformly. On the upper floor, the openings are rectangular and also have balconies, but on a smaller scale than those of the principal floor.
