Borrunes – Town-to-South Castle Connection
Also called the “Les Delícies” promenade, this is a pleasant and welcoming place with lush vegetation offering peace and tranquillity to the visitor. It is located beneath the Castle. The site evokes old traditions, such as women washing clothing and sheep’s wool, which later would be used to make thread or to fill mattresses.
That was the reason why this place was called “Borronos”, until its first remodelling in 1844 by Mr José Criado, mayor of Buñol. “Borronos” was the name given to the wool.
This park serves as a connection with Buñol Castle and in turn with urban routes such as the Music Route and “Walking through Buñol”.
