Bullring
This is the bullring closest to the sea in the entire Iberian Peninsula. It is a tradition in Vinaròs to hold bullfights during the San Juan and San Pedro Fair and Festival, in June. The first recorded bullfight took place in 1852. However, the first bullring was not built until a decade later. That one, made of wood, was soon demolished to build the current one, inaugurated in 1891. During the Civil War, it was used as a concentration camp and was later restored. Its current appearance dates from the last renovation, in 2003.
Important bullfighters such as Paquirri, Curro Romero, and El Cordobés have performed here.
Today, it also hosts cultural events.
