La Vila House
This 15th-century Gothic building was restored in 2017. During the restoration process, fresco paintings of notable historical value were discovered inside. They likely constitute one of the oldest heraldic representations of the coat of arms of Vinaròs.
Originally, the Casa de la Vila had direct access from the street via a steep external stone staircase. It consisted of a single, small room that contained a wooden cabinet used to safeguard the privileges, books and documents of the Council. This room was also used by the Justice to hold hearings and was, on occasion, used as a detention space for prominent individuals. The niche that still remains on the façade is dedicated to Saint Dominic of Guzmán and dates from 1722. Likewise, the façade features a traditional-style window and the Alós family coat of arms, depicting a wing inside a rhombus.
