Defensive Positions of The Cabeç Bord

This route takes us through the eastern part of the municipality of Náquera, starting at Fuente del Oro and gently descending through the beautiful area of Fontanelles, until reaching the trenches of Cabec Bord, a site of great educational interest. Given the distance and the wide paths, the itinerary is suitable for cycling.
From the fountain, we head toward the El Paraíso residential area. We exit at its southern end, descending along the Camí de Sagunt. Before reaching the end of the downhill stretch, after passing several carob terraces, we take a dirt road on the right. We will reach a paved section… but we will immediately leave it via the track that climbs to the left and enters the Rodenet pine forest. Shortly afterward, the path begins a steep descent while deteriorating slightly, until it reaches a flat road between orchards. This leads to a paved road that we must follow straight ahead, ignoring any forks or intersections on the left or right. We will only leave it after about half a kilometre, once we have passed the small settlement known as “Cabec Bord”, taking an unpaved path to the left.

Next, always along dirt paths, we continue towards the trench line visible on the nearby hills of Cabec Bord. To reach it, we must first cross the ravine of the same name, turning onto a path that begins between a house and a mesh-covered orange grove. The path ends next to the entrance of the first gallery.
To return, we may either follow the same route back, or take the Camino de la Pata and later connect with the road to Fuente del Oro.
