Tower of the Vila wall
– The Count's Town –The wall grew after pirate attacks on other towns linked to the counts of Oliva.
But over time, the wall was torn down.
It was not because of a natural disaster.
It was a punishment.
This happened because the town supported the Austriacists in the War of the Spanish Succession.
History can punish too.
And in this case, the punishment was clear:
they removed the wall stone by stone.
