TABAQUEROS VILLAGE
Tabaqueros was, until the last third of the 20th century, one of the main population centres in the southeast of that municipality, dominating the upper part of the Cabriel River depression, from which it is about 8 km away at the level of the hamlet of Tamayo. The demographic importance of the hamlet allowed it to maintain community resources, such as the municipal school, until the 1960s. Among its landmarks are the Cuesta del Seco and the viewpoint. Currently, ten people live on its lands. Its economy has traditionally been based on livestock farming and dryland agriculture. Some of its buildings have been restored.
