Walls

The Castle-Convent of Santa Maria de Montesa, in Valencia, rises on a hill that offers panoramic views of the region. Remains of its partially preserved walls are still visible, although they have been damaged over the centuries, especially by an earthquake in 1748. Despite its irregular state of conservation, the castle and its walls reflect the historical and architectural importance of the place, which combines military and religious elements. Some of these sections are visible within the municipality itself.
