ALCALÁ DEL JÚCAR BEACH
As the River Júcar flows through the La Manchuela district, it carves out numerous tight meanders. Their natural evolution involves the gradual erosion of the outer bank, while sediment and materials are deposited along the inner bank.In one of these meanders, situated immediately below the Castle Hill of Alcalá del Júcar, the water settles into a calm pool before cascading over the bridge’s weir. This creates an idyllic setting where the lush vegetation, the presence of waterfowl, and the historic urban landscape combine to form an enchanting environment.
The Alcalá del Júcar Town Council has refurbished this area, making it a designated spot for swimming and enjoying the river’s natural beauty.
