Albalat dels Tarongers

The town of Albalat dels Tarongers is located in the northernmost district of the province of Valencia, the Camp de Morvedre. It lies 31 km from the city of Valencia and 7 km from Sagunto.

With excellent transport links, it is crossed by the N-234 Sagunto–Somport motorway and has direct access to both this motorway and the N-340 road, as well as to the Sagunto–Valencia ring road. This network provides easy and convenient access to Valencia, Castellón and Teruel.

In the Camp de Morvedre district, on a plain on the left bank of the Palancia River, lies ALBALAT DELS TARONGERS at an altitude of 97 metres above sea level.

It borders to the north with Estivella and Sagunto; to the east and south with Sagunto and Gilet; and to the west with Náquera, Segart and Estivella. It covers an area of 2,135 hectares.

Its main elevations include: El Garbí (593 metres), Montaña Redonda or Montalt (427 metres), Pic de l’Àguila, Cavall, Saler, Gitano, Palmerar, Buitrera, etc. The most distinctive is the so-called “Cabeç Bord”, 238 metres high, where the boundaries of four municipalities meet: Náquera, El Puig de Santa Maria, Sagunto and Albalat dels Tarongers.
