Font del Comte
In the heart of the Serra Calderona lies the spring known as “La Font del Comte.” It is a natural enclave where the drinking water that supplies the town originates. Within the urban area of Algimia d’Alfara, five fountains can be found, all of which are fed by this spring, whose name comes from its feudal past, although a large amount of Muslim pottery has also been found in the surrounding area. Over the past years, the Town Council has been restoring the environment, planting native species and rehabilitating the traditional irrigation structures. On July 13th, 1990, the water pipeline from the spring to the town was inaugurated.
