Hermitage of the Calvary

Located on a hill next to the town center, the Hermitage of Saint Michael can be seen from a great distance thanks to its privileged position. Built during the 18th century, its construction was made possible through the contribution of all the local residents.

It is a very simple building, featuring a chapel that houses the Archangel Saint Michael, whose image suffered significant damage during the last war.

In March 2006, a crack caused part of the hermitage’s vault to collapse, which led the town council to seek the quickest way to carry out its restoration in order to prevent further damage to its structure.
