Our Lady of Los Angeles Church
The church of Torres Torres, under the dedication of Our Lady of the Angels, is a sober building whose first section was completed at the end of the 17th century. In 1688, the interior finishing works were commissioned, including the execution of the polychrome sgraffito on the plaster of its vaults and side chapels, which are still preserved in quite good condition today.
The old parish church, built a few years after the Christian conquest and whose remains have recently been uncovered, was located near the castle. Both buildings coexisted for some years, as it is known that the old church was still standing in 1721.
The new church, in Baroque style, is well built, with a tall and sober frontispiece, where the simple doorway opening stands out, framed with large limestone ashlar blocks, possibly from the nearby quarry of Peña Negra.
