MIDDAY STONE
Located on the mountain known as Peña Blanca, about 600 metres from the town, stands the emblematic Midday Stone. Its name comes from its traditional use as a natural sundial.
According to tradition, there is a method to determine the time based on the shadow projected by the mountain on which the stone rests. At 12 o’clock, a ray of sunlight passes through the stone and, at that moment, the mountain casts no shadow, making it possible to identify midday precisely.
This unique feature represents the connection between the natural environment and traditional uses of the land, becoming a site of cultural and landscape interest.
