Sculpture of Saint Roch

The original figure of Saint Roch
was destroyed during the Civil War.
The present one was made between 1938 and 1940
but its author is anonymous.

The neighbors of Fortuna
are very devoted to Saint Roch.
This devotion is expressed during the festivities
in honour of the saint.
The people of the town celebrate masses,
processions and leave flowers near the saint.

In addition to the image of Saint Roch,
other saints are also prayed to in the hermitage,
such as:

• Isidore the Laborer.

• Saint Veronica.

• Saint Peter.

• Jesus with the cross.
