CERRO PALOMAR
Cerro Palomar is a geographical point of interest in Golosalvo that harks back to traditional land use and historic toponymy. Its name suggests the historical presence of dovecotes—structures that were once common for rearing pigeons, both for their meat and for the fertiliser (palomina) they provided.
Today, this hill remains a natural lookout from which to contemplate the sweeping plains and the layout of the municipality. It is an ideal spot for walking and enjoying nature in its most pristine state, offering a genuine connection with local flora and fauna. It represents the memory of ancient ways of life in La Manchuela, where every rise in the terrain had a practical purpose and a name to define it. Its preservation keeps the cultural landscape alive in a municipality that, while small in size, is immense in history and tranquility.
