La Pixerota Beach

The bunkers located in the center of the beach are part of the municipality’s cultural heritage. If you haven’t seen them yet, we recommend visiting—they are very photogenic, and you’ll love the fantastic view of the Gulf of Sant Jordi.
Fun fact: this was Joan Miró’s favorite beach. The artist liked to walk down from his country house to La Pixerota beach to swim and exercise.
It was on this beach where he drew his famous Miró-style stars, which later became one of the most representative symbols of his work.
