Scene of the Descent from the Cross

After the death of Jesus of Nazareth on the cross, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus; he then prepared the descent and the subsequent burial.
During the Descent from the Cross, among others, Mary and Mary Magdalene were present, along with Nicodemus and Joseph, who brought Jesus down from the cross.
