Scene of the Prayer in the Garden

It was around nine o’clock when Jesus arrived at Gethsemane with his disciples. The Lord was sorrowful and spoke of the danger drawing near. The disciples were overwhelmed, and Jesus told them to stay in the Garden of Gethsemane while he went to pray. He took Peter, John, and James with him. John asked how he, who had always comforted them, could now seem so troubled. “My soul is sorrowful unto death. Stay here, keep watch and pray so that you may not fall into temptation”, Jesus answered.
