20th century
Purchase, MCM Inv.: 1679
Wide repertoire of objects manufactured in Manises during the 20th century. They represent very well the production of that time, since they illustrate the diversity of existing typologies as well as the decorative character of the pieces. They are made in molds with white paste, which once fired is generally decorated with polychrome. We find different techniques of applying the color (brush and freehand, climbing and airbrush) that are combined to achieve rich decorations. Finally, the pieces receive a transparent glaze and are fired again.
