Know down reed

The reeds had many applications in traditional culture, were used in construction, as in the manufacture of musical instruments, to make baskets to make caizizos and dry steps, or silk platforms to raise silkworms, to make rockets… In the field they were used to make shacks to tomatoes and legumes, to hold the branches of the fruit trees, or to collect the harvests. These long-stem reeds with a fragment of root at their end, as a mace, were used to beat carobs.
