Town Hall Square of Náquera
The Town Hall Square of Náquera (Valencia) is an emblematic space in the heart of the town, closely linked to the history and social life of the municipality. Although it is not particularly old in terms of architectural landmarks, its importance has grown due to its role as a civic and festive meeting point for the people of Náquera.
One of the most significant elements of the square is a very special sculpture, donated in 2015 by the Queen of the Patron Saint Festivities of Saint Francis: a four-meter-tall municipal coat of arms made of concrete, which pays tribute to the women of the town and to all those who have participated as festival queens.
From a historical point of view, Náquera is a settlement with roots dating back to prehistoric times, later becoming an Islamic alquería before its integration into the Crown of Aragon, which has left its mark on the design and urban layout.
