Town Hall Square

Ah, the square… it is the heart of the town.

People have talked about many things here:
– celebrations
– arguments
– and important decisions

In the past, if something did not pass through the square,
it was as if it did not happen.

Look at the centre.
There is the statue of Gabriel Císcar.
He was an admiral and also a regent of Spain.
An admiral is a top leader of the navy.
A regent is a person who rules for a king when the king cannot.

Now comes a legend.
A legend is a story that people have told for a long time.

They say that at Santa Anna Castle,
the Enchanted Moor granted him three wishes:
– to have a white horse
– to sail the seas
– and to rule Spain

They say all three came true.

Was it a coincidence?
Was it destiny?
Or was it magic?
