Tower of the Vila wall

– The Count's Town –

The wall grew after pirate attacks on other towns linked to the counts of Oliva.

But over time, the wall was torn down.
It was not because of a natural disaster.
It was a punishment.

This happened because the town supported the Austriacists in the War of the Spanish Succession.
History can punish too.

And in this case, the punishment was clear:
they removed the wall stone by stone.
