LA FUENSANTA RECREATION AREA

The “La Fuensanta” Recreation Area is located in a beautiful setting, characterized by the presence of the stream of the same name and dense stands of Aleppo pines, the result of reforestation carried out in the 1960s and 70s. It is set in the fertile plain of the stream, a fluvial terrace that until the mid-20th century was dedicated to orchard farming linked to the old farmhouse once located here, which also had a mill powered by the excellent spring behind the building. The farmhouse dates back to the 18th century and is still in a good state of conservation. In one of its courtyards there is a fountain with six permanent water spouts, as well as several restrooms.

The site is equipped with wooden tables and benches, running water, and barbecue areas. It is an ideal spot for enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, picnicking, and nature observation, and has been recognized as a “Singular Corner” for its unique charm.
