FOREST RANGER VIEWPOINT
Located 5 km from El Burgo, on the road to Ronda, within the Sierra de las Nieves National Park, at an altitude of about 900 meters. From here, visitors can view almost the entire headwaters of the TurĂ³n River basin, as well as panoramic vistas of the Lifa Valley gorge, the peaks of Pilones, and Sierra Cabrilla.
To commemorate the centenary of the creation of the Forest Ranger Corps in 1977, a statue was erected representing a young boy alongside a Forest Ranger pointing toward the landscape, which was declared a Natural Monument of Andalusia in December 2011. The monument symbolizes the transmission of knowledge and the protection of the natural environment. It not only pays tribute to forest rangers but also offers a unique experience for visitors interested in the nature of the region.
