OJÉN SQUARE – CHORROS

Andalucía Square, popularly known as Ojén’s square, is the heart of the town and a meeting place for both locals and visitors. With its irregular shape and surrounded by whitewashed buildings with flowered balconies, it concentrates the social life of the village and hosts festive and cultural events throughout the year. At one end stands the emblematic Fountain of the Spouts (Fuente de los Chorros), built in the 19th century.

This stone fountain with five spouts was, for decades, essential for supplying water to the population and for washing clothes. Its water, coming from a spring in the Sierra Blanca, flows continuously and has become a symbol of the town.

The square, with its benches shaded by orange trees and the constant murmur of water, offers a space for rest and contemplation—a reflection of Ojén’s tranquil and welcoming rhythm of life.
