CAÑAMERO SPRING
The Cañamero River Spring is located within a natural environment of great ecological value. The river emerges in an area of gentle hills covered with scrub and olive groves, where groundwater surfaces thanks to the limestone geology of the terrain. Its flow is modest but constant, fed by springs that harness the rainwater filtering through the surrounding mountains.
From its source, the river winds through cultivated fields and small riparian forests, bringing life to the rural landscape. Along its course, the Cañamero River joins the Río de las Cuevas and the stream of the ravine, forming the beginning of the Guadalteba River, contributing significantly to the water system that feeds the reservoir of the same name.
This site is also a point of interest for walkers and nature lovers, who find here a peaceful space dotted with native vegetation and local wildlife.
