House of Culture

In 1929, Consol Giner set up the *Fundación Presbitero Giner*, to support a primary school for boys and girls. This school would be run by the religious community designated by the executors of the founder’s will. Thus was born the Presbitero Giner Foundation, which would be the origin of the current Santa Anna School. This school was initially housed in the magnificent house of the Giner de Veses family, which is the building that today houses the Casa de la Cultura.

In 1941, the Santa Anna school was moved, and the former residence of the Giner de Veses family was converted into a space dedicated to culture. Finally, the Casa de la Cultura was officially inaugurated in 1998 in this emblematic building, consolidating itself as an important cultural centre for the community.
