The Church of the Annunciation
The Church of the Annunciation (Iglesia de la Anunciación) is the most important religious monument in Villamalea and a jewel of 16th-century architecture.
Its design shows a transition between late Gothic and Renaissance styles, standing out for its imposing stone structure and its elegant tower that dominates the urban skyline. Inside, the church houses altarpieces and works of sacred art that reflect the historical and economic importance the town reached in past centuries.
As the centre of liturgical life, the church hosts the most solemn celebrations of the municipality, being the pillar of the religious identity of its inhabitants. Its majesty makes it a leading cultural reference in La Manchuela, attracting visitors interested in the historical and artistic heritage of the towns of Albacete, and serving as a symbol of faith and community history.
