The Bells

The bells of Xàbia were cast by the Roses Brothers from Silla between 1941 and 1942. In 1963, they were mechanised and their wooden yokes or counterweights were replaced with iron ones. Due to their poor condition, they were restored in 2024, and new wooden yokes were installed, restoring their original appearance and improving their sound. The greatest challenge was the work carried out on La Bertomeua, which weighs over 1,400 kg.
