Chapel of Santa Anna

Another important need in medieval times, due to the frequent outbreaks of plague, was the Hospital, built in 1502, of which only its chapel remains—the Chapel of Santa Anna—located on Carrer d’Avall. It is a small Gothic building with a rectangular floor plan made of “tosca” stone and attached to other houses with a flat roof. It features a semicircular arch at its entrance and a ribbed vault. Its stone doorway frames a wooden door, and the interior nave shows its Gothic origin with a ribbed vault.
