Popul HermitageIt belongs to the group known as “conquest hermitages,” named for the period in which they were built, between the 14th and 15th centuries. They all follow the same architectural scheme: a rectangular floor plan, gable tile roof, and entrance on one of the shorter sides. The interior is austere, divided into 2 or 3 sections by slightly pointed tosca-stone arches. Opposite the entrance is the altar with images of the hermitage’s patrons, painted by Juan Bta. Soler Blasco.
