Cap de Sant Antoni Viewpoint

The lighthouse facing the bay from Cap de Sant Antoni was the successor of earlier defensive structures that made use of the plain’s strategic position. Hermits built it to retreat from worldly life, and in their honor, the Chapel of Saint Anthony was erected in the 14th century, which eventually gave its name to the cape. This viewpoint is undoubtedly one of the most privileged scenic spots on the Valencian coast. It contains two plant micro-reserves: one on its northern cliff and another on l’Illot de la Mona, at the foot of the cape. It is located within the Montgó Natural Park.
