Punta del Arenal Viewpoint

From this viewpoint, you can see “Punta del Arenal”, a place that takes us back to the beginnings of our era. In the second half of the 1st century BC, a remarkable Roman settlement developed at the northern end of this beach, in what is now the “Caleta del Ministre”. A large carved basin, known as the “Queen’s Baths”, still remains. The production of salted fish and sauces was likely the main economic activity of the site.
