Located in La Plana, near Cap de Sant Antoni. In 1374, the Pope authorized the construction of the Monastery of Saint Jerome with its hermitage, which was part of the “conquest” hermitages. However, it was destroyed by pirates in 1388, leading to its abandonment. Centuries later, a painting of Our Lady of the Angels was discovered, prompting the construction of a hermitage over the ruins of the convent. After several looting events and wars, and following various reforms and remodelings, the building retained its original characteristics until 1964, when the reconstruction to build the current Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Angels ended with the remains of the old 14th-century monastery.
